claudia-api-builder 1.5.0 is now on NPM, with support for intercepting and modifying requests.
The new feature allows you to filter, modify and block requests before they are routed to the API builder. Some situations when that might be useful are generic constraints (for example block all requests without a valid authorisation header, regardless of the URL), or handling events that do not come from API Gateway (for example, if you want to use the same Lambda for S3 processing and API Gateway requests).
